Kharkiv Under Attack: Drone Strike Injures Eight, Including a Child

Kharkiv, Ukraine, came under attack on the evening of March 9, with a drone strike impacting residential areas and injuring eight people, including a 16-year-classic girl and a child, according to local officials.

Igor Terekhov, the Mayor of Kharkiv, initially reported injuries near residential high-rise buildings. Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed a fire broke out as a result of the impact, with cars and apartments on the lower floors of a building catching fire Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office.

The initial reports indicated two injuries, but the number quickly rose. Terekhov later stated that five people were injured, including a child. By 10:55 PM local time, the prosecutor’s office reported the number of victims had increased to eight Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office.
