EBAV Digitalization Grants for Italian Businesses in 2026

Italian businesses can now apply for grants from EBAV (Ente per il Banco delle Aziende Venete) to support the adoption of new hardware and software aimed at enhancing their digital capabilities. These grants, part of the A66 service, are designed to reward companies investing in cutting-edge, customized solutions rather than simply keeping pace with technological trends.

Grant Objectives and Philosophy

EBAV’s approach prioritizes investments in the future of business through advanced technologies. The grants are not intended for companies merely updating existing systems, but for those implementing innovative solutions to transform their operations. The focus is on rewarding forward-thinking companies that embrace digital transformation.

Eligible Expenses

The grants cover expenses incurred in 2025 for the purchase of:

• Rapid Prototyping Tools: Including 3D printers, 3D scanners and microcontrollers.
• Specialized IT Hardware: Hardware designed to improve business processes, encompassing input/output devices (including mobile options) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices directly related to digital transformation. Note: standard PCs and physical servers are not eligible.
• Customized Software and Cloud Services: Software and cloud services (with a minimum two-year license or subscription) focused on:
  • Digitalization and automation of business processes (Industry 4.0, ERP, and CRM).
  • E-commerce solutions, including upgrades and international marketplace integration.
  • Human resources management and employee welfare (smart working initiatives).
  • Calculating profitability indices and innovation rates.
  • Customer/supplier relationship management (help desks, conference calls, instant messaging, mailing systems).
  • Online marketing data analysis, big data analytics, and SEO tools.
  • Digital manufacturing (3D development, scanning, modeling, rendering, reverse engineering).
  • Digital communication (website development, graphic software, augmented/virtual reality for production and marketing).
  • Cloud computing and file hosting.
  • Document management.
  • Data security improvements (disaster recovery, backup, encryption, anti-malware, antivirus, firewalls).

Grant Details

• Grant Amount: 40% of eligible expenses.
• Maximum Grant: €1,500 per year.

Application Process and Required Documentation

To apply, businesses must submit the following documentation by April 30, 2026:

• A copy of itemized, dated invoices for all expenses.
• A technical report from the consultant or supplier detailing the objectives, purpose, rationale, and benefits of the innovation in relation to the company’s activities.
