Samsung’s Gemini Integration Now Live on Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung’s highly anticipated Gemini integration, first showcased at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year, is now rolling out to users of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This integration brings advanced AI-powered task automation directly to Samsung’s latest flagship devices.

Gemini’s Task Automation: How it Works

The modern feature, powered by the Gemini 3 AI model, allows users to automate tasks within compatible apps. Currently, Gemini can handle actions like ordering food and booking rides. When prompted – for example, “Gemini, order dinner through Uber Eats” or “Book a ride with Uber” – the AI assistant completes the process within a virtual window, even while you’re using other applications.

The automation pauses just before the final confirmation step, requiring users to review and approve the ride request or food order, and then complete the payment. Users receive a notification prompting them to finalize the action.

Supported Apps

As of today, Gemini’s task automation feature supports the following apps:

  • DoorDash
  • Grubhub
  • Lyft
  • Starbucks
  • Uber
  • Uber Eats

Instacart is slated to be added to the list of supported apps in the near future. Google has similarly indicated plans to expand Gemini’s task automation capabilities to a wider range of apps and service providers in the coming months. This feature will also be available on Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 series.

Galaxy S26 Lineup and AI Features

The Galaxy S26 series – comprising the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra – are designed to deliver smarter experiences through integrated AI features. Samsung highlights the customized processor within these devices as key to enabling these advanced Galaxy AI capabilities. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, in particular, features a Privacy Display, designed to protect sensitive information from prying eyes.

Looking Ahead

The rollout of Gemini’s task automation is a significant step towards a more integrated and intelligent mobile experience. As Google and Samsung continue to expand the feature’s compatibility and functionality, users can expect even greater convenience and efficiency in their daily lives. The expansion to the Pixel 10 series further demonstrates Google’s commitment to bringing AI-powered automation to a broader audience.
