Austin Regional Clinic Expands Services with Recent Facilities and Aesthetics Rebrand

Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) continues to expand its healthcare offerings with the opening of the ARC South Medical Campus, a rebranding of ARC Medical Aesthetics to OLINO Medical Aesthetics by ARC, and updates to patient care processes. These changes aim to provide comprehensive and enhanced care to the Central Texas community.

New ARC South Medical Campus

The ARC South Medical Campus offers a wide range of primary, specialty, and surgical care services. The campus includes ARC South 1st Pediatrics, ARC South 1st, ARC South Specialty, and ARC Surgery Center South. ARC South Specialty and ARC Surgery Center South are scheduled to open this spring. Patients whose doctors or advanced practice clinicians (APCs) are moving to the new ARC South Specialty clinic will be notified via email or mail, with additional reminders sent via text, email, letter, or phone.

OLINO Medical Aesthetics by ARC

ARC Medical Aesthetics has been rebranded as OLINO Medical Aesthetics by ARC. Both ARC Medical Aesthetics and ARC Dermatology Southwest will move to the new ARC South Specialty clinic, each with its own dedicated lobby, and will continue to be led by Steven Rasmussen, MD, FAAD. The name “OLINO” is inspired by the Hawaiian word meaning “to shine brightly” or “to shine with splendor.” More information about services can be found at OLINOmedicalaesthetics.com.

Bariatric Surgery Program Led by Dr. Marco Medina-Zea

ARC offers a comprehensive bariatric surgery program designed to support weight loss and improve overall health. The program is led by Marco Vinicio Medina-Zea, MD, FACS, FASMBS, Director of ARC Bariatric Surgery. The team has extensive training, including Si/Xi robotic surgery certification, and has performed hundreds of surgeries in the last five years. Registered dietitians provide support before and after surgery to help patients maintain a healthy lifestyle. Patient Information Sheet Update

On February 26, ARC updated the consent section of its Patient Information sheet. All patients are asked to review and sign the updated sheet at check-in. Patients should allow for extra time during their next appointment to accommodate this step.

Allergy Season and Specialist Care

With allergy season approaching in Central Texas, ARC Allergy specialists recommend consulting a doctor or APC to determine the cause of allergy symptoms, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, or red, itchy eyes. ARC Allergy specialists can provide allergy testing and prescribe treatments like allergy shots or allergy drops. Appointments can be scheduled through ARC MyChart or by calling 512-272-4636.

Extended Mammography Screening Hours

ARC Far West offers extended hours for mammography screenings, including early morning, evening, and weekend appointments, to accommodate patients who cannot attend during regular clinic hours. The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that average-risk women begin receiving mammograms at age 40. Mammograms can be booked online or through ARC MyChart.
