Samsung Discontinues Galaxy Z TriFold After Brief Market Run

Samsung Electronics is winding down sales of its innovative, yet short-lived, Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone after just three months on the market. The $2,899 device, which debuted in South Korea on December 12, 2025, and expanded to the US in January 2026, is being discontinued as inventory is cleared Bloomberg reported.

Technology Showcase, Not Core Product

The rapid discontinuation suggests the Galaxy Z TriFold was intended more as a technology demonstration than a mainstream product, according to Yahoo Finance. Limited Availability and Sales

Sales will first cease in South Korea, followed by the US as remaining stock is depleted. Innovative Design, Uncertain Future

The Galaxy Z TriFold features a unique dual-hinge design that unfolds into a 10-inch tablet-sized display.
