Disney has officially slated a theatrical release date for Lilo & Stitch 2, continuing the momentum from the surprisingly successful live-action remake released in 2025. The sequel is set to arrive in theaters on May 26, 2028, according to announcements made during Disney’s shareholders meeting on March 18, 2026.

Live-Action Success Drives Sequel

The 2025 live-action Lilo & Stitch, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, exceeded expectations, grossing over $1 billion worldwide [Collider].
