Murder Investigation Launched in Derry Following Woman’s Death
Derry/Londonderry is at the center of a murder investigation following the death of a woman on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Police have arrested a 30-year-classic man in connection with the incident.
Details of the Incident
Officers responded to a call at a property in the Summer Meadows Mews area of the city at approximately 10:20 am. Upon arrival, they discovered an injured woman at the scene PSNI. The woman was transported to Altnagelvin Hospital by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), where she was pronounced dead RTÉ.

A 30-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder The Irish Times. The Police Service of Northern Ireland’s (PSNI) Major Investigation Team is leading the inquiry PSNI.

Forensic officers are currently conducting a thorough examination of the scene at Summer Meadow Mews RTÉ. Police have indicated that a separate earlier operation in a different part of the city may be linked to the murder investigation RTÉ.
