The Cauliflower Alley Club (CAC) has announced that iconic wrestling duo the Glamour Girls—Leilani Kai and Judy Martin—will be honored at the 60th Annual Reunion as the first women’s tag team to receive the organization’s prestigious Tag Team Award. The event is scheduled to take place from August 24 to 26, 2026, at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
How the Glamour Girls Secured the Award
The selection of the Glamour Girls represents a shift in the history of the CAC Tag Team Award, which was established in 2015. According to a press release from the Cauliflower Alley Club, Leilani Kai was initially slated to receive the Women’s Wrestling Award individually. However, historian Roy Lucier noted that Kai specifically requested that Martin be honored alongside her, provided her health permitted it. This request led to the duo becoming the first female recipients of the tag team honor, joining a list of past winners that includes Demolition and, most recently, the Bushwackers.
A Legacy in the Ring
Leilani Kai and Judy Martin, both trained by the Fabulous Moolah, debuted in the mid-1970s and became defining figures in women’s wrestling during the 1980s. Managed by Jimmy Hart in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), the duo captured the WWF Women’s Tag Team Championships twice. Their professional partnership is perhaps best remembered for their high-profile rivalry with the Jumping Bomb Angels, Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki.
The two teams famously faced off during the inaugural Royal Rumble broadcast on January 24, 1988, in a 15-minute, two-out-of-three falls match. Dave Meltzer awarded the encounter a three-star rating. The Glamour Girls later regained the titles in June 1988 during an All Japan Women’s show, a match that received a three-and-three-quarter star rating from Meltzer. The WWF subsequently retired the women’s tag team belts in February 1989.
