FC Dingolfing II fell short in a 3–2 away defeat against TSV Langquaid after conceding three unanswered goals in a disastrous opening period. The young squad rallied significantly before and after halftime, but a leaky early defense proved too steep a hill to climb in the Bezirksliga fixture.
First-Half Defensive Collapse Sets the Tone
TSV Langquaid capitalized on early defensive errors to build a commanding lead within the first 23 minutes. Jonas Brunner opened the scoring in the sixth minute by intercepting a loose pass in the Dingolfing backline and converting the chance. In the 18th minute, Christoph Blabl launched a long ball from deep to find Aaron Bice, who scored to make it 2–0. Just five minutes later, Liridon Haljmi set up Brunner for his second goal of the match, extending Langquaid’s lead to 3–0.
FC Dingolfing II trainer Markus Heiß pointed directly to the opening phase as the decisive factor in the loss. “The first 30 minutes we slept through, barely accepted any duels and quickly fell 3-0 behind due to glaring individual errors,” Heiß said.

Dingolfing Fights Back Before and After Halftime
Trailing heavily, Dingolfing gradually clawed its way back into the contest. Rick Spanner broke through in the 28th minute but was stopped by Langquaid goalkeeper Michael Pinzinger. Spanner broke through again shortly before the interval, drilling a low shot into the short corner to cut the deficit to 3–1.
After the break, Langquaid maintained pressure, with FCD goalkeeper Kevin Fischer stopping attempts from Haljmi and Chris Gräßlin. The woodwork also saved Dingolfing in the 72nd minute when a header from Bice struck the crossbar. Immediately following that let-off, Tobias Kurz ignited hopes of a complete comeback by firing a 14-meter shot into the upper-left corner to bring Dingolfing within one at 3–2.
Late Push Falls Short for Visiting Squad
Despite increased pressure and a determined late push from Dingolfing, Langquaid weathered the storm to secure the 3–2 victory. Heiß acknowledged the positive response from his team after the disastrous start, noting that they managed to stabilize and create chances.
“After that we showed a good reaction and with a bit of luck even managed to make it 3-3 and take a point,” Heiß said, referencing the missed opportunities that could have leveled the score. “In the end, 60 minutes of Bezirksliga football is not enough. We have to learn to be awake and focused on the pitch for the full 90 minutes.”
