A planned television program featuring dutch celebrities Gordon Heuckeroth and former footballer Andy van der Meijde has been cancelled by Talpa Network, the parent company of SBS6.The program, tentatively titled Dear Gordon and Andy, was initially announced in May with the intention of offering assistance to individuals facing personal difficulties.
According to a statement released to the ANP news agency, Talpa Network confirmed they had been developing a new program with both Gordon and Andy for SBS6.Though, the spokesperson stated, “that did not lead to a program with both.”
The concept, as described by Van der Meijde during an appearance on Frank Dane’s afternoon show, aimed to provide practical help to people struggling with issues such as debt. He explained the program would focus on assisting those “who have some problems,” offering support to navigate challenging situations.
When questioned regarding the possibility of any future programs featuring Gordon, Talpa Network declined to comment on Friday evening, leaving the future of any solo projects involving the television personality uncertain. The cancellation marks the end of the collaborative project between the two Dutch personalities, at least for the foreseeable future.
