The Lindenwood women’s volleyball team opens the 2025 season this weekend at the Hampton Inn adn suites Seahawks Classic in Wilmington,North Carolina. the Lions will face UNCW and NC Central on Friday before battling Virginia Tech on Saturday. It will mark Lindenwood’s first time playing against all three opponents.

2024 REVIEW: The Lions posted a 23-11 overall record a season ago, going 14-4 in conference play to finish second in the OVC regular season standings before winning the conference tournament to claim the program’s first league championship of the Division-I era. Five Lions were named All-OVC, including four first-teamers, while Will Condon was named OVC Coach of the year.
PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH: The 2025 OVC Preseason Poll was released last week with Lindenwood tabbed to finish second with 160 points and a first-place vote. Southeast Missouri was picked to win the league with a total of 194 points and 15 first-place votes, while Tennessee Tech came in at a close third with 160 total points and six first-place votes. Morehead State (148) and Little Rock (132) rounded out the top five.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ashley Geluck was selected as Lindenwood’s OVC Player to Watch. Geluck started in all 34 matches for the Lions last season at middle blocker. She led the team with 95.0 total blocks, which included 29 solo rejections. She was also a force offensively, posting 268 kills (2.09 kills per set) while hitting .250.
DEPARTING PRODUCTION: The Lions lost all four of their 2024 First Team All-OVC selections, including OVC Setter of the Year.
