A teenager has been arrested in Tewkesbury, in south-west England, after a teacher was stabbed to death at a secondary school in that town, police reported Monday.
An adult has been hospitalized for alleged injury with a knife, in an incident that occurred at the Tewkesbury School, a statement from the Gloucestershire county law enforcement authorities requires.
“We were called at around 9:10am today (0810 GMT) with an allegation that a student had stabbed a teacher. A teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident,” reads the note on the Police Twitter account.
The school has been closed while agents investigate what happened, he added.
On the recommendation of law enforcement, another nearby primary school – Tirlebrook Primary School – was also closed and parents were asked not to come to the school.
