A child of about three years of age has died in the Pontevedra municipality of The Porriño after spending several hours forgotten inside a vehicle parked in a dirt parking lot at the scene of The Relva, in the parish of turners, on a sunny day and high temperatures.
An individual raised the alarm 112 around 4:50 p.m. requesting health care for a child, for which the notice was given to Health Emergencies, agents of the Civil Guard y Local police of O Porriño and the members of the Psychological Intervention Group in Disasters and Emergencies, dependent on Official College of Psychology of Galicia.
However, the medical services displaced by the 061 they could only confirm the death of the child, who was in the car. The Civil Guard confirms the death of the minor and indicates that, in the absence of an autopsy, death could have been due to heat stroke, although the appropriate investigation has been opened.
Sources consulted by Europa Press explain that apparently, the child’s mother would have been confused and went to her job without leaving the child in the center where they had to take care of him. When the father came in the afternoon to look for the little one in the center, the alarms went off.
