A woman is arrested in Lanzarote for forcibly entering her ex-partner’s home and seriously injuring him

Agents of the National Police They have arrested a 46-year-old woman as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of domestic violence, home invasion and attempted homicide after forcibly entering her ex-partner’s home in Arrecife (Lanzarote) and attacking him.

The arrest occurred after the National Police was alerted in the early hours of August 31 by residents of a possible couple’s fight and that after hearing loud bangs on the roof of the building they were able to observe a woman with a knife in the area, as reported by the police force in a press release.

The agents then moved to the scene of the incident, where they found a woman in the public street, her clothes covered in blood and very agitated.

Subsequently, the agents interviewed the victim who stated that his ex-partner had forcibly entered his home, had threatened to kill both him and his mother with whom he lived, and had attacked him, presenting the man injuries of a serious nature.

Therefore, after verifying the facts, the agents proceeded to arrest the woman as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of domestic violence, home invasion and attempted homicide, for which she was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, who decreed the precautionary measure prohibiting communication and approaching both the victim and his mother.
