(Solid back and forth battle to kick off the show, as Brodido continues to impress, even after the chaotic ladder match last weekend. G.O.A. even in defeat, continue to look better and better as a team and it really does feel like it’s only a matter of time before The Demand have AEW gold, as Ricochet really drove home how they wanted the Trios Titles after beating The Hurt Syndicate at All Out, but couldn’t tonight with Shibata being medically uncleared.)
Ricochet joined commentary as King & Liona locked eyes wanting to go at it first,but Bandido made his case for king to let him start. The speed initially got Bandido a few shots,but Liona swatted him away and used his power to drag him to Kaun,who no sold chops. Bandido nearly hit his gorilla slam, but Kaun floated over into a snap suplex. King screamed encouragement as Bandido was slowly picked apart, while G.O.A. made constant tags. side stepping a double team, Bandido leapt for a King hot tag, who lit up Kaun & liona with chops and jabs. King dodged a DVD on the apron,posting Liona before mowing over Kaun with a lariat for two. King wanted a superplex, but was hung up in the Tree of Woe by Kaun, allowing Liona to hit a splash and diving headbutt for a near fall as things went to commercial.
Returning from break, Kaun & Liona planted King with a double back suplex, as King was up, swinging wildly, but ended up trapped in the wrong corner, as he was swarmed. Bandido was launched off the apron, as that brief delay allowed King to dodge attacks, looked for a tag, realized Bandido wasn’t there, so squashed Liona with a corner cannonball rather. Bandido recovered and made the tag, but only Kaun sold the strikes. Dodging the Liona offense quickly, Bandido started dancing to play mind games, as Kaun tried a blindside, but was pressed over Bandido’s head and slammed onto liona in the corner. FTR Explain Their Actions at All Out
Tony Schiavone called FTR & Stokely to the ring to explain their heinous actions at All Out, delivering the Spike Piledriver to Beth Copeland. Schiavone told them his opinion doesn’t matter, but it was the most disgusting thing he’s ever seen. Wheeler said they deserve every bit of boos they’re receiving. their actions at All Out has kept him up at night,as that was never their intentions,it was to end Copeland’s career,sending him into retirement,but Adam Copeland couldn’t stand that.Rather, Copeland brought his childhood friend and wife into the picture and it’s Copeland who is responsible for FTR dropping his wife on her Micro Brawler head.
Stokely said he forgives Beth copeland for what she did to him at All Out. He wasn’t running up the ramp to attack Beth, it was to shake her hand, but received a Spear rather, which didn’t hurt. Stokely was going to kip up, but was carried to the back, as he ultimately allowed Beth to Spear him. Adam Copeland & Christian needed Beth to win the match, with the worst thing of all is that Beth doesn’t even work here. Harwood refuses to apologize to Adam & Christian for dropping them on their CTE riddled brains, but will to Beth. Despite Beth punching Harwood in his broke nose, it watered his eyes, making him thing Beth was her husband, leading FTR to drop her on her head. Harwood would never put his hands on a woman and with beth, he uses that term very loosely.
Willow Nightingale interrupted and she gets in the ring, as she said if FTR wrestled as good as they lie, they could’ve won their match at All Out. Nightingale said she’s out to talk about a Hall of Famer in beth Copeland, who has inspired her and why she became a wrestler. Women like Beth are why she came back from a broken neck to do things like win the TBS Title, the Owen Hart Tournament and is the reason she doesn’t take sh*t from guys like FTR. Nightingale tells them to try their apology with more sincerity or get from the ring.Stokely said it’s past Nightingale’s bedtime and said there’s episodes of Proud Family she could be home watching, as Nightingale slapped the hell out of Stokely before JetSpeed sprinted out. FTR faked leaving before trying a cheap shot, but ate superkicks for their troubles. Stokely was pulled to safety before Nightingale could do any damage to him.
-MJF had post-match comments at All Out saying he was so angry right now, but doesn’t have the energy to yell anymore. Not long ago, he was the biggest name in wrestling, then Adam Cole came into his life, broke his ankle and subsequently MJF’s heart. Then MJF lost his AEW World Title, his mojo and went and rehabbed. MJF still has accomplished more than anyone could dream of in this time frame,but something is missing,he’s just playing MJF,who has made too many mistakes. Men’s World Champion.Hangman Page was right about one thing, the next morning was the worst Fletcher has felt his entire life, never feeling so crushed and defeated, but looked in the mirror and remembered who the hell he is. Fletcher is on track of being the greatest TNT Champion of all time that sees a bunch of dorks in the ring,but also prospect. Hologram has the longest undefeated streak of any man in AEW history 34-0, but more like 34 and scared of Kyle Fletcher, as it’s the only reason his streak has lasted so long. Fletcher can’t think of a better way to get on the horse than to beat Hologram next week on the anniversary episode of Dynamite, Title vs. Streak. We’re told that match is made official by Tony Khan for next week.

Perry’s voiceover said life is uncertain and fragile, it can change in the blink of an eye. AEW Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Claudio Castagnoli
(Similar to Garcia’s match with Shibata at all Out last week, this match was going really well, then the interference quickly led to the finish and that was it.Despite the finish, the match prior to that point I thought was very good, with Hobbs looking strong, while castagnoli got off plenty of power moves. The post-match certainly makes me expect a multi-man match for the Anniversary show next week.)
Both made entrances from the crowd, as Hobbs charged right at the bell, as Castagnoli responded with uppercuts, while Meat chants rang out from the crowd. It happened so long both were stumbling before Hobbs started dishing out bodyslams aplenty. Three, until Castagnoli floated over into a back suplex, which Hobbs no sold and ramped up the bodyslams again. Castagnoli went at the eyes until both tumbled to the outside. With Castagnoli placed against the steps, Hobbs charged, but Castagnoli moved and Hobbs crashed hard. A brutal back suplex onto the edge of the barricade had Hobbs falling back over into the crowd,as Castagnoli repeated the spot back to the ringside floor as things went to picture in picture.
Back from break, a powerful gut-wrench from Castagnoli got a near fall, but as forearms were thrown, Hobbs started to rise and fight back. Hobbs hit two corner splashes, but castagnoli moved on the third to take Hobbs up the ropes for a huge superplex. Castagnoli pointed at Bryan Danielson as he went for a Neutralizer, but Hobbs escaped into a snap powerslam.Meat lariats in the corner, as Hobbs once again went back to the bodyslams, but Castagnoli fought off during the fourth attempt.Hobbs absorbed lariats before cracking Castagnoli with one of his own. The straps lowered as PAC then appeared on the apron. Hobbs got ahold of him, allowing Castagnoli to get an uppercut and inside cradle for the win.
