Deutsche telekom adn NVIDIA Launch Europe’s Largest Industrial AI Cloud
Companies will be able to book the computing power of the “AI factory” and use it on demand as early as the first quarter of 2026.
This factory’s construction will increase AI computing power in Germany by approximately 50 percent. Combined with the Telekom network and T Cloud, it creates an ecosystem for German and European companies, offering AI sovereignty – the ability to use AI independently, securely, and according to their own rules.
Industrial AI cloud: Six months From Idea to Reality
“Mechanical engineering and industry have made this country strong,” says Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom. “But we face challenges, too. AI is a huge opportunity. It will improve our products and strengthen our European strengths. We can turn an idea into real AI computing power, Made in Germany, in just six months.”
“Germany’s strength in engineering and industry is legendary, and now it’s expanding with AI,” added Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “With the world’s first Industrial AI Cloud and one of the largest GPU deployments in Germany, we’re bringing NVIDIA AI and robotics here to usher in a new era of industrial transformation.”
Around 20 percent of companies will store their business-critical and sensitive data locally again by 2024/25, due to the geopolitical situation. The need for sovereign and secure AI computing capacity, aligned with European rules, is correspondingly high – particularly for AI applications in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and logistics.
Industrial AI Cloud: Application Scenarios and Productivity Gains
The Industrial AI Cloud meets the high and diverse requirements of the industry. Numerous partners and customers have already expressed interest.
Such as, developers can create 3D digital twins of real factories.
