MyHair AI: Taking the Guesswork out of Hair Loss
For Cyriac Lefort, the idea for his new startup, MyHair AI, sparked two years ago. The French native was getting a haircut in New York when his hairdresser casually remarked, “You’re starting to lose a bit of hair.” Lefort, 32, recalls the moment vividly.
“he didn’t say that to my friend sitting next to me, just to me,” Lefort explained.”I didn’t think I was balding, and I still don’t. But when someone tells you you’re losing your hair, you’ll try anything they suggest.”
He purchased the recommended shampoo, but the experience left him questioning how easily someone could exploit anxieties about hair loss. “Hair loss is such an emotional topic for men and women,” he saeid.
This led Lefort to investigate the hair loss industry, discovering a landscape filled with misinformation and clinics lacking verified reviews. (He later consulted a hair doctor who confirmed he wasn’t actually balding.)
Lefort decided to create a product that would use AI to help people accurately diagnose hair loss.
Lefort is no stranger to entrepreneurship, having previously exited a company.
