While “Here” marks a significant milestone in AI-powered filmmaking, it’s not the first film to leverage this technology. Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) used its proprietary system called Flux with infrared cameras to de-age Harrison Ford in 2023’s “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”
Metaphysic’s approach, however, stands out for its real-time processing capabilities. Unlike ILM’s method, which relies on post-production, Metaphysic’s AI models instantly transform actors’ appearances during filming, opening up exciting new possibilities for visual storytelling.
