Ailee and Choi Si-hoon Share Positive Update on IVF Journey
Singer Ailee and her husband, actor Choi Si-hoon, have shared encouraging news regarding their in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. The couple, who married last year, have been documenting their journey to start a family and recent updates indicate a positive outcome from the egg retrieval process.
Friends’ Dreams and Positive News
On March 25th, a video was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Ailee’s Marriage Diary’ titled “[IVF Diary] DAY 2/12 Friends Dreamed of Our Baby! We Heard the Egg Retrieval Results.” In the video, Choi Si-hoon revealed that friends had been sharing dreams about their future child. “Recently, we’ve been receiving messages from friends saying they had dreams about our baby,” Choi shared. “Both Ailee and I were greatly moved by the hearts of our friends. It really gave us strength.”
The couple visited the hospital to learn the results of the egg retrieval. Choi announced, “We collected 15 eggs, and 12 were successfully implanted. On the 5th, the number of top-quality embryos reached a whopping 7.” He expressed relief, noting they had been concerned about the possibility of needing to restart the process.
Ailee’s Physical Challenges and Choi Si-hoon’s Support
Ailee previously shared the physical challenges she has faced during the IVF process. Following the egg retrieval procedure, she experienced side effects from the medication, including gas, bloating, and constipation Koreaboo. Choi Si-hoon expressed concern for his wife’s well-being, noting her difficulty sleeping and eating properly. He attempted to encourage her with a walk, but her abdominal pain proved too severe.
“I feel relieved that I can be by her side when she’s going through such hardship,” Choi Si-hoon said. “It will be even tougher once she gets pregnant and gives birth. I’m learning little by little what I can do to help.”
