Aleš Hrdlička: The New Circus & Growing Popularity

It is an artistic form in which the skills of traditional circus are used, where the animals were performed. From this traditional art, human skills remained with focus on the human body and art. It is something that uses the old form of the circus and puts it in a new guise for contemporary viewers.

Clearly, I don’t take it as an insult. I am a new company and a magician. After all, even a magician is such a terminus technicus in domestic culture. Many people cannot get rid of prejudice. However, I try to show viewers what these artistic forms can mean today.

I have passed a number of places. For example Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, the United States or China. In Europe I often return to the Benelux festival.

If the audience wanted to find me, the best tasting is probably my show in the show Penn & Teller: Fool Us stanice CWthat I graduated from Las Vegas.

I think that more and more Czech viewers are aware of the new circus. I believe it, but at the same time I look at it all the time. But the spectator scene has already built in the Czech Republic and the audience goes to various neo -circus performances.

That’s right, but I try to get off with other objects so I can’t focus unilaterally. Juggling with circles was my discipline at the circus school, I have been with them since my beginnings and circles occur across my magic sphere. I started to perform with them in a duo with Filip Zahradnický.

I had the first performance at the age of six. Through magic and festivals I just came to the taste of circus or new circus. I was at an age when I wanted to learn visible activity, because after all, in magic, tricks should not be seen.

I will perform in one regular performance together with my Scottish partner Hannah Lenox, with my original juggling partner Filip Zahradnický and his partner Michaela Stará. The performance is called the principle of uncertainty and we play it on August 22.

It is a all -hour show to be a new -social grasp of quantum physics for young viewers. We played it in two premieres at the end of last year, followed by a momentary pause because of Michael’s pregnancy, now we continue. The two premieres almost no one saw (laughter), now perhaps the audience will be bigger.

Certainly. The principle of uncertainty is the heartfelt affair of dramaturg and director Ondřej Holba, who addressed us. We created it co -production with Vršovice take -off and during the autumn I expect a few reprises, including performances for schools to attract younger audiences.

The educational part is difficult to get there. After all, quantum physics is hardly understandable for many adults. But I definitely believe it is an entertaining project inspired by quantum physics. And it is definitely suitable for whole families.

And since the performance is nonverbal, in the future, when the child Philip and Michaela grow up, we can go abroad.

I will also perform in the (not only) juggling Galashow. This is organized by Vojta Stolbenko from the festival Roztoč, which he manages to invite world stars from this community.

The mite takes place this year 14-18. August and subsequently all the artists, which I have the honor of belonging to me, will be presented at Summer Letná, just that 19th August. Galashow is a revue of stars, I will show my eight -minute performances there, which is in a way a trailer for my performance, which I will introduce in the autumn in La Fabrice.

For my debut solo performance. Well, of course I don’t do it myself, but I’m just me on stage. Its name is orbiting Zero, it is a circus rendition of magical realism and is based on my work. In the show I want to show behind the scenes of the creative process and I hope that the people who sometimes create will see.

The world premiere will take place in Belgium as part of the Perplx 12 festival, October 12, and four days later we will have Czech in Ostrava.

The Prague premiere is planned in the La Fabrika Small Hall on November on Czech circus nights. Subsequently, we are planning one reprise in Jihlava and we are dealing with reprises for the next year.

Yes, on August 30, our dramaturg Marc Verhille Trailer will present at Cards Against Sanity, which we have together with Hannah. It is a duo show that we will introduce in the autumn in Marseille.
