Alex Collins, Seahawks and Ravens player, dies at 28

Alex Collins, former Seahawks and Ravens running back, passed away Monday at the age of 28 from causes that have not been disclosed.

“It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Alex Collins. Alex always He will be remembered for the light and love he brought to so many people in his life,” the Ravens announced.

Baltimore reported the death of the player who would turn 29 next August 26thalthough he did not share the causes.

Seattle Seahawks selected Collins in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. From there he went on to Baltimore where he had his best season in 2017, in which he rushed for 973 yards and six touchdowns, before returning to Seattle.

Ravens coach John Harbaughalso mourned the loss of the player: “It was a pleasure to be around Alex, someone whose light shone brightly. I will always remember him for being a great teammate who had an uplifting spirit that impacted everyone he met.”
