An origami crane crafted by Richard Robbins by folding QR code paper is a collectible newly introduced in the Nintendo Switch remake of the classic adventure, Another Code: Two Memories. You can find these small items in almost every room in Edward Mansion, and you can then scan them using the built-in camera of your DAS device (ZL) to unlock messages.

So, where is the DAS card this time? These cranes actually replace the original game’s collectibles, which contained Richard’s notes and reports, perhaps to not confuse the player with so many cards (since there are keycards too), or to introduce a more modern element to everyday life, For example, QR code.

Sayoko taught me how to make origami cranes a long time ago. Maybe I should make some and leave them around the mansion in the hope that the deceased can rest in peace.

But what’s even more interesting about these revelations is that they also add to the never-read script, a series of detailed reminiscences written by Ashley Mizuki-Robin’s father, Richard, that introduces more than the original’s brief notes background and legend. Plus, their writing is much richer, making it an enjoyable must-read piece of fan service…even hiding a few new references!

  • WARNING: Keep in mind that once you enter the laboratory in Chapter 6, you cannot go back and explore the mansion, so you’re better off trying to search and collect the first 12 Cranes from previous chapters. Our suggestion is that you do this before you go to the basement in Chapter 5, or after talking to Jessica at the beginning of Chapter 5. If you do this, don’t forget to scan the 12th crane on the way before unlocking the secret hatch.
