“I don’t want to believe it”: KVN star Artem Stovpyatsky died in the war

A member of the KVN team “From the Ceiling,” Artem Stovpyatsky, has died at the front. The circumstances of the defender’s death have not yet been disclosed.

Sad news was reported by his friends in the local community “Chernigiv Kisil.” The comments noted that Artem’s funeral will take place on October 10 at 10:00.

“What a good person… I don’t want to believe it. Eternal memory. Funeral 10.10.2025 at 10:00,” – wrote a close friend of the deceased Olya Nesterenko.

Artem Stovpyatsky was known throughout Ukraine for his participation in the popular comedy show KVN. He was considered one of the brightest and most talented members of the “From the Ceiling” team.

Artem Stovpyatsky, a member of the popular KVN (Club of Funny and Inventive People) team “From the Ceiling” from chernigov, has died fighting in the war in Ukraine.

The “From the Ceiling” team was a prominent force in the Chernigov League, gaining recognition in the early 2000s. The team’s lineup stabilized in 2006, featuring Alexander Labadin, Evgeniy Kulak, Alexander Ponomarenko, and Artem Stovpyatsky. Irina Andriyanenko contributed musical design to their performances, and singer Olesya Lukyanenko later joined the team.

In 2012, “From the Ceiling” represented Chernigov at the Yalta All-Ukrainian Open League of KVN (“YAVOLK”) festival, sharing first place with a team from Sumy. Their performance was highly praised by both the jury and the audience.

This news follows the recent death of journalist and Ukrainian Armed forces officer bohdan Budai, who served in the 144th separate mechanized brigade.
