At least four people have been shot to death inside a Dollar General store en Jacksonville, north of Florida, as reported by the mayor of the town, Donna Deegan, to a local television network.
“It’s unacceptable,” Deegan declared. “One shooting is too many, but these mass shootings are really hard to bear.” The deceased are at least two men and one woman, in addition to the murderer himself, a young white man between the ages of 20 and 30.
Shortly after, the Jacksonville sheriff confirmed that it was a racist crime: “The attacker wanted to kill black people.” The mayor of the town, along the same lines, declared: “It has been a hate-filled crime.”

Numerous police officers are in the area near Edward Waters University. The students will remain in their dormitories, the agency said in a statement, though no students or faculty are believed to be involved.
