The complainant alleges that Castillo Trinidad posed as a real estate agent using the alias “Manuel Castillo” to orchestrate the sale of a land plot. The report filed with the then-Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE) claims that Castillo Trinidad acted in coordination with an individual identified as Diego Montes de Oca, who allegedly impersonated the property’s legal owner.

To facilitate the transaction, the pair purportedly presented a falsified official credential from the former Instituto Federal Electoral (IFE) containing the data of the actual property owner. The victim reported delivering 10,000 dollars as payment for the land. Following the exchange of funds, the complainant stated that the individuals became unreachable.

The victim submitted a formal complaint to the state prosecutor’s office, providing documentation and evidence intended to substantiate the claims of fraud and the falsification of official documents.

On January 29, 2020, the complainant filed a written request for intervention with the municipal president’s office. Documentation provided by the complainant bears stamps indicating receipt by both the Municipal Presidency and the Sindicatura Procuradora.

Context of Current Public Office

The allegations surfaced following Castillo Trinidad’s swearing-in as a substitute deputy for Jorge Ramos in the Baja California State Congress. While the complaint was filed in 2020, the legal status of the investigation remains a point of public interest given his current legislative role.

As of the latest reports, no public statement has been issued regarding the resolution of these specific 2020 allegations.
