Brooke Emmerich to Lead ALS Fundraiser Cabaret at The Green Room 42

A special cabaret performance, “Bit by the Bug,” will be held at The Green Room 42 in Midtown Manhattan on June 9th at 7 PM, benefiting Target ALS in memory of Judy Ellis. The display is led by actress, producer, writer, and ALS/FTD research advocate Brooke Emmerich, and features a cast of musical theatre performers.

A Tribute Through Music

The cabaret will feature a program of music that inspired the performers’ love of musical theatre, including hits from the Golden Age and the Disney Renaissance. Emmerich created the event in memory of her late mother, Judy Ellis, a prominent journalist, writer, and artist who instilled in her a lifelong passion for musical theatre.

Seeking Performers

The production is currently seeking musical directors/pianists and singer/actors. Submissions will be accepted until April 3rd at 11 PM. Those selected will participate in occasional check-ins, two three-hour rehearsals, and a coaching session with the cast and musical director.
