Black Caps and South Africa Draw T20 Series, Decider Set for Christchurch
Wellington, New Zealand – The New Zealand Black Caps and South Africa will head to Christchurch for a series-deciding T20 match after the Proteas secured a 19-run victory in the fourth game of the five-match series on Sunday at Hnry Stadium in Wellington.
Proteas Secure Series-Leveling Win
South Africa posted a total of 164/5, a score that ultimately proved too challenging for the Black Caps. Connor Esterhuizen played a key role for the Proteas, scoring a maiden half-century of 57 runs off 36 balls RNZ.
Black Caps Batting Struggles
Despite a fast start to their run chase, the Black Caps lost wickets at regular intervals and were all out for 145. Tight bowling from the South African side restricted New Zealand’s scoring opportunities NZ Herald. Tim Robinson was the top scorer for the Black Caps with 32 runs.
