Blue Ivy Carter performs piano at Jay-Z’s SoFi Stadium concert

Blue Ivy Carter Performs Piano at SoFi Stadium for Jay-Z Tour

Make some noise for the legendary Blue Ivy Carter, Jay-Z told the stadium crowd. Blue Ivy Carter, 14, joined her father on stage during his October 23 concert at SoFi Stadium for a brief piano performance, based on footage shared by Variety. As she played the final note of the segment, the 56-year-old rapper pretended to bow down to her musical skill before the father-daughter duo shared a hug and she walked off the stage.

The concert appearance is part of Jay-Z’s JAŸ-Z30 Tour, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of his album Reasonable Doubt. Designer Willo Perron told Wired that the tour setup focuses on storytelling rather than ostentatious stage design, seeking to recreate the feel of the venues where the artist performed early in his career. The tour concludes with a second concert at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, October 24, and Jay-Z is scheduled to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2027 at the same venue.

Musical Milestones Alongside Her Parents

Blue Ivy, the eldest daughter of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, has joined her parents for live performances as she grows up. In July, Jay-Z brought her on stage at Yankee Stadium in New York City to play the piano for a rendition of “Feelin’ It.” Earlier in the year, on Saturday, January 21, she performed alongside Beyoncé on stage for their first live performance of “Brown Skin Girl” during a private concert in Dubai, according to TMZ.

Beyoncé later discussed how Blue Ivy’s early childhood inspired Jay-Z’s hairstyle transformation. In a June video for her Cécred haircare brand, Beyoncé explained that when Blue Ivy was five years old and lacked confidence in her hair, Jay-Z grew out his curls into thick locs to show his daughter that her hair was like his. Prerecorded footage of Blue Ivy cutting those locs was featured during the Dubai concert.
