This move signals the company’s ambition to expand its operations beyond Latin America and establish a notable presence in the U.S. financial market.

Currently operating in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, nubank stated that seeking a U.S. license is a strategic step toward evolving from a regional platform to a global financial services provider. The company aims to leverage its technology-driven approach and customer-centric model to compete within the U.S. banking landscape.
