Remembering the 2025 Brown University Shooting

On December 13, 2025, a mass shooting occurred at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, during final examination week according to Wikipedia. Cláudio Manuel Neves Valente, the shooter, killed two students and wounded nine others before fleeing the scene. Two days later, on December 15, Nuno Loureiro, a professor at MIT and former classmate of Valente, was fatally shot in Brookline, Massachusetts. Valente was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a five-day manhunt.
