Vermont Works for Women Trailblazers Program Prepares for 2026 Cohort
Vermont Works for Women is gearing up for the 2026 iteration of its Trailblazers program, a free training initiative designed to equip women and gender-expansive individuals with the skills needed for successful careers in construction and the trades. The program will run from March 17th to April 30th, and will be held at the Carpenter’s Union in South Burlington, Vermont.
About the Trailblazers Program
The Trailblazers program provides participants with hands-on training and mentorship opportunities, preparing them for entry-level positions in various construction trades. The program is free to participants, removing a significant barrier to entry for those interested in exploring these career paths. It is open to individuals aged 18 and older.
National Women in Construction Week
The preparation for the 2026 Trailblazers program coincides with National Women in Construction Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of women in the building trades and encourage more women to consider careers in the field. Vermont Works for Women’s commitment to this program underscores its dedication to increasing diversity and inclusion within the construction industry.
