Teh Peruvian coffee spoke again with a Cajamarcan accent. Ángel Antonio Manosalva Palomino emerged as the great winner of the Peru 2025 Cup of Excellence by obtaining 90.64 points with a Geisha grown in Jaen, prevailing among almost 300 samples and confirming the region’s stellar moment in the specialty coffee scene.
The ranking The South America’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2025 celebrates the talent, quality and passion of the country’s coffee projects. Kafi Wasi from Arequipa occupies position 2, consolidating Peru as a specialty coffee power.
“It hasn’t been an easy road. I have been participating in contests for seven years to continue improving… this year I prepared myself thoroughly, from fertilization to every detail of the process, always with a lot of love and passion,” said the producer when receiving the award.
Second place went to dreyde Pérez Delgado (Cajamarca) with 90.42 points and third place to Gilber Huayllas Huamán (Cusco) with 89.97.
For Geni Fundes, general manager of Central Café & cacao del Perú, the results are “stunning: two presidential coffees and two women in the Top 10”, a sign of an industry that is growing and strengthening the line of specialty coffees that directly benefits the producer.
