Team Canada Celebrates Olympic Success with Homecoming
Canada’s Olympic athletes received a hero’s welcome on Monday, February 24, 2026, as they returned home from the Milan Cortina Olympic Games. The team concluded the Games with a total of 21 medals, including five gold, marking a significant turnaround after a slower start.
Mid-Games Rebound
At the halfway point of the Games, Team Canada had secured eight medals, none of which were gold. However, the team experienced a surge in success during the second half, beginning with a gold medal win by freestyle skier Mikaël Kingsbury in the dual moguls event. Source

A celebration was held at the Bell Center on Saturday evening to honor the medal-winning athletes.
