AC Milan president Gerry Cardinale declared that winning the Scudetto is a “real objective” and expressed his full confidence in coach Ruben Amorim. Cardinale emphasized the priority of the new San Siro stadium, a project he has been working on for four years, and announced his intention to strengthen the squad both in January and next season. “I won’t stop until I achieve what I want,” he said, referring to the club’s objectives.

Cardinale also commented on AC Milan’s victory over Udinese, which made him “very happy,” and confirmed his presence in Milan for the entire week, including the derby against Inter and the match against Bologna. “See you on Wednesday,” he said, explaining that he will remain in the city for the upcoming matches. The owner also revealed that he is in no rush to hire a new head of sporting affairs, emphasizing that the choice will be “one of the most important” for the club’s future.

Cardinale’s Confidence in Scudetto Ambitions

However, he expressed optimism for Amorim’s project, describing his “Amorim Ball” as a fast-paced gaming system. At the end of Top Gun, “my” film, there’s a great line: “I’m not abandoning my wingman (the pilot of the support plane, ed.),” says Tom Cruise.

Plans for January Transfers and Stadium Development

AC Milan’s plan includes January signings to strengthen the squad, with Cardinale declaring his intention to “continue to be aggressive and opportunistic” in the transfer market. He also emphasized that the new stadium is a “priority” and that the club is rebuilding its squad after the summer, when it failed to complete all its objectives. “We’re only a quarter of the way there,” he said, adding that the team must be able to cope with injuries and European competitions. “I won’t waste money, but when I set my mind to signing a player, I do everything I can to achieve it.” He emphasized, however, that the new manager will work “with me” and will not receive the “keys to the club” independently.

Player Mentions from Cardinal

Cardinale listed some players he considers fundamental to the project: “I adore Pulisic; ditto Rabiot, Moreira, Gila, who’s a beast, Hutchinson, Ramos, Maignan, who’s our leader…”
