Kelley shared her experience on Instagram, detailing a demanding week that included the medical procedure, ongoing interviews, and a surprising shortage of french toast sticks.

The Egg Freezing Process

Egg retrieval for freezing is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure, typically lasting between 10 to 30 minutes and performed under sedation. A doctor uses an ultrasound-guided needle to collect mature eggs from the ovaries through the vaginal wall. The procedure follows 10 to 14 days of ovarian stimulation and is scheduled approximately 34 to 36 hours after a final “trigger shot.”
