Drake University Announces 2026 Alumni Award Recipients

Drake University’s National Alumni Association has announced the recipients of its 2026 Alumni Awards, recognizing six distinguished graduates for their professional achievements and community contributions. The awards will be presented on April 23rd at Sheslow Auditorium on Drake University’s campus, beginning at 5:15 p.m. Drake University News.

Award Recipients

Among the honorees is Mary Chapman, who will receive the Community Service Award. Chapman is a two-time Drake alumna and currently serves as vice president emeritus at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). Drake University News, Memesita.

Emily Steele will be honored with the Young Alumni Achievement Award. Steele is the CEO and cofounder of Hummingbirds, a Des Moines-based digital marketing platform.
