the bolivarian revolution does not forgive anyoneNot even his old friends. The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the main pro-government hammer against the opposition, has intervened in the historic Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), one of its traditional allies, and has appointed a board to this made up of chavismo militants.

In this way, facing the presidential elections of next year, the electoral card of the PCV, its headquarters, properties and symbols, remain in the hands of these executives close to the government of Nicolas Maduro. It is the same tactic already used against different opposition parties, such as the social democrat Acción Democrática (AD), Voluntad Popular (VP) and the Christian democrat Copei. They have also suffered the whip of the revolutionary traditional parties of the Venezuelan leftlike the Marxist Red Flag, Patria Para Todos and Podemos.

“The government of Nicolás Maduro has consummated the assault against the PCV through an arbitrary judicial sentence, which endorses the imposition of a directive made up of mercenaries at the service of the leadership led by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). This fraud process not only creates a serious precedent in the political and legal history of the country, but also exposes the authoritarian, anti-democratic and reactionary character of the government-PSUV, which mistakenly believes that with this maneuver it will subdue the Venezuelan communists”, complained the party of the red rooster, almost centenary, through a statement.

The PCV began to criticize Nicolás Maduro after the economic turn in recent years, which it considered “complacent” with the business community and contrary to the interests of the popular classes. After May Day, the PCV leadership intensified its accusations against the “mafia and corrupt elites” of the government.

An ally of Hugo Chávez since he came to power in 1999, the PCV maintained its independence, he even refused to join the PSUV despite the insistence of the “supreme commander”.
