Wildfire Burns Hundreds of Acres in Belmore State Forest, Florida

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. – A large wildfire is burning in Belmore State Forest in Clay County, Florida, prompting a response from Clay County Fire Rescue (CCFR) and the Florida Forest Service. As of Saturday evening, the fire had grown to 350 acres and was 75% contained.

Fire Details and Containment

The fire was first reported around 1:50 p.m. On Saturday, March 21, 2026 and is currently moving east. Firefighters are actively working the blaze in the area of Barns Road and Randolph Place in Keystone Heights. According to the Florida Forest Service, the fire initially covered approximately 300 acres, but has since grown to 350 acres.

No Threats to Homes or Injuries Reported

Officials have stated that no homes are currently threatened by the wildfire, and no injuries have been reported. The Florida Forest Service is on scene assisting CCFR with containment efforts.
