Motorcyclist James Kilpatrick Dies in County Antrim Crash

A 55-year-classic man has died following a motorcycle crash in the Queensway area of Dunmurry, County Antrim. The victim has been identified as James Kilpatrick, a resident of the Dunmurry/Finaghy area.

Details of the Incident

The crash occurred at approximately 7:30 am on Sunday, March 8, 2026. According to police reports, no other vehicles were involved in the single-vehicle collision [RTE] and [Newtownabbeytoday]. Emergency services, including the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), attended the scene.

Detective Inspector Stewart from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit stated that the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene [RTE].

Police Appeal for Information

The PSNI is appealing to the public for assistance with the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage of the incident is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 414 08/03/26 [RTE] and [Newtownabbeytoday].

The road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services access but has since fully reopened [RTE].
