Colin Jost Postpones Comedy Show After ‘Terrifying’ Bobsledding Experience

Colin Jost, comedian and co-anchor of “Saturday Night Live’s” Weekend Update, has postponed a comedy show in Waterloo, Latest York, following a harrowing experience bobsledding in Lake Placid. The show, originally scheduled for February 20, 2026, at del Lago Resort & Casino, has been rescheduled for March 27, 2026.

Bobsledding Adventure Turns Scary

Jost participated in a bobsled run at the Lake Placid Olympic site during NBC’s 2026 Winter Olympics coverage. He described the experience as profoundly frightening, stating, “I was not prepared for the level of terror of this bobsled. I swear to God, I thought I was going to die.” He further detailed fears of serious injury, believing his back would snap or bones would break during the ride, which reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour as reported by NBC.

Previous Olympic Coverage Incident

This isn’t Jost’s first brush with minor injury while covering the Olympics. In 2024, he reportedly injured his foot on coral reefs during coverage of the Summer Olympics and had to leave early due to an infection.

“Crotchgate” and Other Jokes

During his remote appearance, Jost too joked about the controversy surrounding ski jumpers and reports of injections for aerodynamic advantages, referring to it as “Crotchgate.” He quipped about his own use of hyaluronic acid, playfully referencing his wife, Scarlett Johansson.
