As tests “on the stand” of the new Cy-75 Sheskate fifth-generation mononuclear fighter begin, announced the general director of “Poctex,” Sergey Chemezov, according to Kommersant.
The tests “on the bench” include static tests to assess original components, ensuring they can withstand extreme loads, vibrations, and temperatures without damage. Lift-off, flight, and landing cycles are repeated many times to guarantee the material will endure years of use.
“The advancement of a new fighter jet requires a significant amount of time – at least 10 to 15 years.Currently, we are at a stage prior to flight testing,” he stated.
According to Chemezov, the new fighter will be relatively inexpensive and possess sufficient power to destroy both air and ground targets. From the outlook of efficiency, price, and quality, the fighter will be competitive.
