Prusa Research, a Czech manufacturer of 3D printers and related technologies, has reported another year of strong financial performance.Despite increasing competition from companies like Bambu Lab, the company-co-founded and led by Josef Průša, who recently received a state award from President Petr Pavel-significantly increased its revenue while maintaining profitability.According to recently published financial statements, Prusa Research’s revenue grew from 2.8 billion to nearly 3.6 billion Czech crowns in the 2024 financial year. The majority of this revenue, approximately 3.2 billion crowns, came from international markets. Operating profit remained stable year-over-year at 150 million crowns, and profit after tax exceeded 47 million crowns.
Průša is increasing investment in research and progress to stay competitive, particularly against aggressively expanding Chinese companies. Last year, the company launched the MK4S 3D printer, along with new products like the Mini Enclosure and XL Enclosure. Key milestones included completing preparations for the high-temperature HT90 printer and launching the Core One, targeted towards professional users. Improvements to existing printer models were also released.
