He used to dub well-known characters that entertained children all over the Czech Republic. Today, he easily chooses from leading roles and his name appears in big movie hits. He started quite modestly. Nevertheless, today he belongs to the most sought-after actors, directors and dubbers of his generation. women are crazy about him. Who is it about? About a man who managed to grow from a fairy-tale voice into a star of international stature.
He grew up in an artistic family and moved around the theater backstage as a child. For him, the microphone was not just a prop, but a gateway to the world of fantasy. It was there that he learned how to do magic wiht voice, emotions and the rhythm of speech. It is therefore not surprising that already in his childhood his voice became an integral part of a number of children’s programs and fairy tales.
As an adult, he shot to incredible heights on the popularity scale. And honestly? Not yet! When we consider how much he has done, how many characters he has brought to life, from child and teenage roles, through dubbing of fairy-tale characters to a charismatic presenter and representative of characters with different character traits on the screen, it is his success is fully deserved.
From a little magician to a teenage heartthrob

Vojta Kotek is also a member of a Prague rock band, TH!S, where he plays the bass guitar. The band is inspired by American rock of the seventies, and after years of playing cover songs, they also started creating their own music.
Though, he never left dubbing, and we can hear his voice in new foreign films. In addition, he remains connected with The Jára Cimrman Theater where he appears in the play Africa alongside Zdeněk Svěrák, with whom he shares one of the characters.Kotek is not the type who would particularly crave fame. In interviews, he often emphasizes that he doesn’t wont to be a “scented” star, and that, on the contrary, his work must give him meaning. “I feel like everything I do has to have meaning. Otherwise it would just be work. And I never wanted to be here,” he said in one of the interviews.
