D-Tex Visual Launches AI Sensor Series for Theme Park Maintenance

D-Tex Visual Deploys AI Sensors to Monitor Theme Park Rides

D-Tex Visual developed a series of artificial intelligence sensors designed for safety and maintenance in the theme park industry. The lineup includes the G2i, G2iX, G2T, and G2R monitoring solutions. These devices track safety restraints, coaster cars, and track elements while collecting data.

“From the early days of developing the Bolt-iT AI sensor, we have continued to push the capabilities of our patented technology in various fields,” says Lee Hollinshead, founder, D-Tex Visual. “Although what we do is very new to the theme park industry, it has been more readily accepted in industry, allowing us to create a complementary range of Bolt-iT variants.”

Extract restraint data with G2iX sensors

The G2iX acts as the latest addition to the equipment lineup. It extracts data using a coded field technique. The sensor applies 3D plotting to components like coaster restraints. It records metrics such as angle, standoff, runout, and wobble for every rotational cycle. This system charts a part’s actual path in real-time and detects tilts and bumps on fast-moving parts. The G2i model runs on the industry-standard CAN network.

Transfer data across air gaps with transmitters

The G2T battery-powered transmitter pairs with the CAN-powered G2R receiver. These units transfer data across air gaps where cabling cannot reach because of fast-moving, difficult-to-access parts. The G2R houses built-in monitoring functions identical to the smaller G2i and accepts inputs from the self-contained Bolt-iT sensor. D-Tex Visual makes these products available for licensing and acquisition by companies in strategic sectors, including theme parks.

Track coaster restraint metrics using G2iX sensors

What specific metrics does the G2iX sensor track on coaster restraints?

The G2iX tracks angle, standoff, runout, and wobble for every rotational cycle using 3D plotting.

How do the G2T and G2R components communicate across air gaps?

The battery-powered G2T transmitter works alongside the CAN-powered G2R receiver to continuously transmit data from internal detectors where physical cabling is impossible.

Which industries are targeted for D-Tex Visual technology licensing?

D-Tex Visual offers its products and expertise for licensing and acquisition to key companies in strategic sectors, including theme parks.
