Dak Prescott Leaves Game After Hand and Hamstring Injuries
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s day ended prematurely on Sunday after suffering a pair of injuries in the third quarter. First, he injured his right hand on a sack by Saints linebacker Kaden Elliss. Despite the pain, Prescott stayed in the game for two more plays, including a successful field goal attempt. However, on the following third-down incompletion, it became apparent that Prescott was dealing with a hamstring issue.
Prescott immediately went to the sideline medical tent and received treatment for his hand. While athletic trainers worked on his hand, backup quarterback Cooper Rush began warming up. Television cameras showed Prescott’s hand appearing swollen. After further evaluation, Prescott was ruled out for the remainder of the game with the hamstring injury.
Before leaving the game, Prescott completed 18 of 24 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown. He also added 30 yards rushing on three carries.
Rush entered the game with the Cowboys trailing 27-13. Prescott watched from the sideline wearing his helmet as Rush took over quarterback duties.
Stay tuned for updates on Prescott’s injuries and potential impact on future games.
