Daniel Sancho leaves prison for the first time to appear before the judge in Thailand

The Spanish Daniel Sancho appeared this Thursday before the judge in the court of Samui (southern Thailand), in which It marks his first release from prisonwhere he has remained in provisional prison since August 7 for the alleged murder of Colombian Edwin Arrieta.

The routine hearing, in which his provisional detention was extended, took place in the Samui court, to which Sancho traveled from the nearby prison on the island, from where he had appeared. until now before the judge via videoconferenceCourt sources confirmed to Efe.

Sancho, who appeared again today without lawyer -as he did for the first time on September 22-, he was arrested on August 5 on the island of Phangan, after confessing that day to murder and dismemberment of the Colombian surgeonwhose remains were scattered across the island and the sea.

This Thursday the judge extended the provisional detention for the sixth time at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office to work on a report that must deliver to the court before October 29, although this period could be extended by 24 days exceptionally. Once the Prosecutor’s Office delivers the report, the judge may set a date for the trial.

The young man, 29 years old, who has received visits in prison by his mother, Silvia Bronchaloand of his father, the actor Rodolfo Sanchotoday accepted the prosecutor’s request to extend the provisional detention when asked by the judge, as detailed by the court itself.
