DAZN presents an exclusive two-part documentary about Agit Kabayel, currently the best German heavyweight and WBC interim world champion.
Part one is now available free of charge on both DAZN and YouTube, with part two following on December 16th. the documentary chronicles Kabayel’s journey from a difficult childhood as the son of Kurdish immigrants to a formative prison stay, and ultimately to his status as the world’s number 3 heavyweight. Today, Kabayel is not onyl a professional boxer, but also a father and determined to make boxing history.
“The birth of my daughter has raised my motivation to a completely different level. I’m not just fighting for myself, but for my family and to make German boxing great again,” says Kabayel in the documentary.

In addition to Kabayel and his trainer Sükrü Aksu, close companions and family members share their perspectives. The documentary is further enriched by assessments from boxing legends such as Henry Maske, Arthur Abraham, Axel Schulz and Regina Halmich, who evaluate Kabayel’s significance for German boxing.
Kabayel has repeatedly proven his ability to overcome adversity, winning all three fights he participated in as an underdog during the Riyadh Season. Now, he aims to restore the glory days of boxing to Germany and emulate the legacy of Max Schmeling.
Agit Kabayel Gears Up for Crucial Fight Against Damian Knyba Ahead of Potential Usyk Title Shot
Agit Kabayel is preparing for a pivotal fight against damian Knyba on January 10, 2026, at the sold-out Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany. This bout is seen as the final stepping stone towards a potential world championship fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

Kabayel, a native of Bochum, describes a notable change in his approach to the sport. “I used to be lazy,now I’m disciplined. My journey has been like cutting a diamond – hard but necessary. I’ve learned what tools I need and what behaviors I need to get rid of. Now I’m ready for the biggest fight of my life,” he stated.
