What We Do: From Concept to Screen
Our Drama Development team manages projects through every stage of the creative process. We nurture ideas from initial pitches, refine them into polished scripts, oversee casting, secure directorial talent, and ultimately shepherd pilots into successful series.Interns will be integral to this process, gaining firsthand exposure to the intricacies of bringing a television show to life. You’ll be involved in evaluating incoming submissions, analyzing scripts, and observing the collaborative efforts of writers, directors, and producers.
Your Role: contributing to the Creative Pipeline
As a Drama Development Intern, you will be a vital part of our team, contributing to a variety of essential tasks:
Script Analysis & Coverage: Hone your critical thinking skills by reading and analyzing both submitted materials and scripts currently in development, learning to write insightful coverage reports. Think of it as becoming a literary scout for the next big hit, similar to how music A&R representatives discover new artists.
Research & Optioning: Assist in identifying promising properties for potential acquisition, conducting thorough research to assess their viability.
Professional Skill Development: Receive training in essential office procedures and interaction protocols specific to the entertainment industry, building a foundation for a successful career.
Industry Networking: Interact daily with a collaborative and supportive team, fostering relationships with key players in the drama development space.
Communication & Coordination: Master the art of professional phone communication, learning the nuances of interacting with agents, managers, and creative executives.
Meeting Support & Insights: Take detailed notes during calls and meetings,gaining valuable insight into the decision-making process and the key elements that drive successful projects.
Scheduling & Logistics: Support the team by scheduling meetings with industry leaders and producers, facilitating crucial connections within the creative and production communities.
Project Tracking: Maintain accurate status reports for all ongoing series, ensuring everyone is informed of progress and deadlines.
Observational Learning: Attend development and production meetings, gaining exposure to the challenges and triumphs of bringing a television show to fruition.
Who We’re Looking For: The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
Educational Commitment: currently enrolled in and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Film or Television, with the intention of continuing your studies throughout the duration of the internship.

Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. this role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
