The Dublin University Ladies Cricket Club (DULCC) emerged victorious at the inaugural Dublin City University (DCU) Ladies Cricket Tournament 2026, held on January 24th, 2026, at the St. Patrick’s Campus Indoor Hall in Dublin. The University Times reports that DULCC won every match of the tournament, marking a significant achievement for the club.

Tournament Overview

The tournament, Ireland’s first all-ladies intervarsity cricket competition, featured teams from DCU and University College Dublin (UCD) in the qualifying round. Georgina Dempsey of DULCC was awarded the best batter award for her outstanding performance throughout the tournament. She achieved a high score of 66 in one innings and accumulated a total of 83 runs. This award represents the first silverware DULCC has won in at least 30 years.
