Eastern Falls to Seattle U 94-67
SEATTLE, Wash.- Eastern couldn’t find its footing on Wednesday night, falling 94-67 to Seattle U at the Redhawk Center. The Eagles battled through stretches of solid play but were unable to overcome the Redhawks’ hot shooting and fast start. Seattle led wire-to-wire, using a dominant offensive performance to keep Eastern at a distance throughout the night.
Associate Head Coach Ryan Lundgren didn’t mince words in his post-game comments.”That looked like a team that had been on the road for 10 days,” Lundgren said. “We were pretty flat – both ends of the floor – it was pretty embarrassing to be honest with you.” He noted that Seattle U came out motivated after last year’s loss to the eagles. “I kind of knew coming in, Seattle U was going to come out and punch us the way we beat them last year,” he said. “They have a lot of guys off that roster back, and they came out swinging. We really had no answer for it and didn’t match it.”
Eastern struggled defensively to contain Seattle’s balanced attack.
